All about Amy

Having worked in the travel industry since 2016, I’ve been blessed to have been on many fantastic trips across the globe and meet lovely colleagues and customers. My passion for travel began when I was young: my parents taught me the importance of seeing the world and making memories, so we made the most of any time off we had together! I travelled around Australia, and visited Singapore, Florida, Tenerife, Italy, and an abundance of other beautiful destinations before I decided to begin my career in travel.

A recent holiday highlight was sailing on Virgin’s Resilient Lady along the Adriatic Coastline to Croatia, Montenegro and Greece. I can now see why cruises are so popular with our customers. It was so peaceful at sea and the views from our balcony hammock will be hard to beat. I loved getting a taster of each destination and booked many exciting excursions. One of my favourite ports was Dubrovnik, where we rode the scenic mountain cable-car and kayaked below the city walls with a guide at sunset.

I also love a weekend city break! My top city breaks from Bristol Airport are Venice and Amsterdam: they are both must-sees, I think! There’s so much culture to take in, many museums, galleries and (of course) plenty of delicious food to try.

If you’re interested in travelling further afield, I’d recommend Tokyo every time! Nothing could prepare me for this vast metropolis, high-tech arcades, endless shopping and incredible dining opportunities. These things are found all across Japan but Tokyo is the epicentre of it all, although you may be surprised to find how many parks and quiet spaces are dotted throughout the city for a moment of peace and tranquillity. I planned my own adventure around Japan using bullet trains and hotels for my Honeymoon last Autumn and would go back in a heartbeat. I visited Hakone, sailed along Lake Ashinoko and enjoyed the views from cable-cars up on the hillside. I also made time to stop in the historical city of Kyoto, lively Osaka, Nara and Nagoya to visit important shrines, temples and other sites of interest. As an avid theme park fan I had to stop at Universal Osaka, Ghibli Park and Tokyo Disney Resort as well!

Speaking of theme parks, my all-time comfort destination is Orlando, Florida. Having visited Disneyland Paris, I thought I knew what I was in for when I hopped off the plane in Orlando. Little did I know just how immersive and unforgettable the Florida Parks would be! It’s truly a theme-park-lover’s dream. I’m dreaming of visiting Epic Universe after it opens this summer. Having been back to Florida over five times in the past decade, I’ve been lucky enough to stay in the majority of Universal Orlando Resort hotels and have a strong knowledge of Walt Disney World’s parks and resorts. I got married at the Hard Rock Hotel next to Universal Studios and we made sure to get a photo outside Hogwarts Castle to commemorate our special day!
